• test scores (SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT);
• proof of English-language proficiency;

Prove your English skills

Work while studying in United States of America

If you are an international student studying in the United States, you may be eligible to work on-campus or off-campus while you are enrolled in your academic program. Here are some of the basic options for working while studying in the U.S.:

1. On-Campus Employment: International students with an F-1 visa can work on-campus for up to 20 hours per week while school is in session, and up to 40 hours per week during school breaks or vacations. On-campus jobs may include positions in the university bookstore, library, dining services, or other areas.
2. Curricular Practical Training (CPT): CPT is a type of work authorization that allows F-1 students to work off-campus in a job related to their field of study. CPT requires approval from the student’s academic advisor and the international student office at the university.
3. Optional Practical Training (OPT): OPT is another type of work authorization that allows F-1 students to work off-campus in a job related to their field of study. OPT requires approval from USCIS and is generally limited to 12 months of full-time employment.
4. STEM OPT Extension: Students who have completed a degree in a STEM field (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics) may be eligible for an extension of their OPT for an additional 24 months.
